DESCRIPTION:Tales of the Red River Métis Arts & Culture Day 2026\nTales of the Red River is a Métis Arts & Culture Day designed to immerse you in the rich heritage of the Métis people\, with a focus on the fur trade era\, bison hunt\, traditional arts\, and storytelling. Set in an engaging outdoor environment\, this event will feature interactive\, educational experiences rooted in Métis culture\, bringing history to life through demonstrations\, workshops\, performances\, and meaningful dialogue centred around Truth and Reconciliation. \nComplimentary Shuttle Service from The Forks is provided by Heartland Travel.\nFood and supplies for hands-on workshops will be available for purchase. Pick your activity and add it to the cart. \nEntrance fee: $22 per person; 5 and under is Free \n8:45 am   Bus arrives \n9:00 am  Opening ceremonies \n9:15 am   Vendor Market opens \n9:30 am   Beading activity* – Borealis Beading \nRemember to visit our market vendors \n10:45 am  Red River Cart presentation* – Jerome Loreworks \n11:30 am  Lunch is ready* \nRemember to visit our market vendors \n1:30 pm   Lii Peau: Hide Processing & Tanning – Mossy Birch Homestead \n3:00 pm   Bonhomme presentation* – O’Roseau \n4:15 pm   Bus leaves \n* Registration required with an additional cost going to facilitators \nBOOK NOW\nSome Notes: \nWashrooms on site\, including an accessible washroom. \nPlease leave your dogs at home. \nWe will have a tent and an indoor space for activities. \nDress for the weather\, and let’s have a toe-tapping good time! \nWe welcome everybody to attend this event and to support the small local businesses across Manitoba. \nMeet the Organizers & Funding Partners\nWorking in partnership is the only way to succeed!\nBOREALIS BEADING and MOON GATE GUEST HOUSE are working in partnership to make this event happen. \nThanks to funding and support from our sponsors\, we are able to offer this event for the second year.
