We want everyone who visits the Moon Gate Guest House website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Moon Gate Guest House website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.
How are we doing it?
We’re working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that still need improving. The Moon Gate Guest House is in the process of facilitating the accessibility and usability of its website for all people with disabilities. We are implementing over time the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA (WCAG 2.1 AA) as its web accessibility standard or other standards to the extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (‘ADA”).

Access On Our Property
Moon Gate Guest House was an egg grading station in the 1970s converted into a guest house in 2011. Moon Gate currently has two building to accommodate bookings. The Guest House is a one-story building with 5 rooms, all with 36″ wide doorways, shared kitchen and living room, 2 bathrooms and a sauna, which are all wheelchair accessible. One bathroom has a comfort height toilet with grab bar, and one has a walk-in shower with a 4″ step in. Our other booking unit is a self contained Round House that does not have a wheelchair ramp at present. The bathroom is an outhouse and shower located beside the unit that may be more difficult for some people to access. Access to the Round House involves a short trek down a slight hill; rides in our golf cart are available if needed.
