Snowshoes in the snow next to straw bales

Get a glimpse of what it was like for voyageurs to traverse the land by snowshoe on the Whitemouth River in Treaty 3.

While exploring on snowshoe, your guide, Michel, will share history of the Métis and tell stories of growing up in Northern Manitoba. You’ll be invited to get cozy around the fire to cook bannock and drink wild harvested tea from the Agassiz Forest. Later, Michel will prepare a traditional Métis feast cooked on open flame. Before bed, you can heat things up in the 90-degree sauna to sooth your body, mind, and spirit.

In the morning, wake to locally roasted coffee brewing, tea, fresh farm eggs, wood-fired sourdough, Notre Dame butter, and fruit before you head out for the day.

Dress for the weather. A minimum of 6 people is required for the program to go,
