Singer Songwriter Ainsley Friesen is always challenging herself. Her repertoire includes acoustic guitar-based folk songs, piano-based, jazz inspired melodies, rock ballads, and most recently, her take on pop. Ainsley can be described as alternative folk, with influences ranging from icons like Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks to contemporary artists like Natalie Merchant, Norah Jones and Rufus Wainwright.

Classically trained in piano and voice, and a skilled guitarist, she combines warm, clear vocals with powerful and insightful lyrics. Lessons learned from life’s victories and defeats have infused her songwriting with a confidence and beauty that grow richer with time.

Ainsley’s music can be found on all listening platforms, as she has released four albums, two EP’s and three singles to date. Originally from Brandon, and after living in Winnipeg for several years, performing and networking, Ainsley now resides in rural Saskatchewan with her husband and three dogs and one cat. She owns and operates a music studio, teaching lessons, and prefers living life at a gentler pace.

Maureen Morrish, Tarot Card Reader

Maureen served for over four decades as a front-line worker and counselor for Youth at Risk. After retiring, she moved to her cottage in a small lakeside community, where she lives with many birds and wildlife; her cats, Olive and Girl Stan Lee; and her dog Sarah Jeannie. She enjoys fishing, bird watching, dabbling in writing, and she is self-employed as a Tarot Card reader.

She has been a professional tarot card reader for 6 years, and offers a 10 card Celtic cross reading with the Mythic Tarot Deck. Readings take 30 to 35 minutes at a cost of $50 a reading. Please bring cash or e-transfer.
